Stork Feathers are the resource consumed each time the Tribe gives birth to another child.Children are created by dragging a tribe member onto another tribe member of the opposite gender, which is called "Calling the Stork", or by placing a tribe member onto a solved Cloning Chamber (see Solving Mysteries).
An additional Stork Feather can be found once every day on your Island and can also be gathered once every day on each of your friends' islands. Check your events' list to find out when the next one will appear (currently it is around midnight PST.)
In addition, when your friends collect their feathers on your Island, you will also be given another Stork Feather for each (All resources collected by your friends when they visit your Island are also given to you). Stork Feathers may also be given to and by other players, with the number you are able to send based on your current level.
The number of Stork Feathers required increases as your tribe grows - for example once you have a tribe of 23 tribe members, it will take 72 stork feathers to make another child (see chart below). If a tribe member dies, the number of stork feathers required for the next baby goes down. Growing your tribe using the Cloning Chamber requires 5% less feathers than Calling the Stork.
As your tribe grows you must either wait longer between each incidence of "Calling the Stork" or you must have enough friends to enable you to collect Stork Feathers in ever-increasing numbers. Currently, there is a maximum population of 30 tribe members per Island. If you are fortunate, getting twins (which is a random event) allows you to skip 1 level...and if you get twins at Member #30, you will actually get a total of 31 tribe members!
